Red Wings sign centers (Detroit News)
Centers Matt Ellis and Donald MacLean signed with the Red Wings on Wednesday. Ellis, 23, received a two-year contract. He played the last two seasons for the Wings' American Hockey League affiliate in Grand Rapids. Last season, he had 18 goals and 23 assists in 79 games.

SEOUL, Aug 29 (Reuters) – Unionised workers at South Korea's second-largest car maker, Kia Motors Corp. , started five days of strike action on Monday, adding to stoppages at larger affiliate Hyundai Motor Co. .
