Sprint Nextel closes acquisition of largest affiliate (Daily Press)
RESTON, Va. — Sprint Nextel Corp. on Monday said it completed its $6.5 billion purchase of Nextel Partners Inc., its largest wireless affiliate. Under the deal, Nextel Partners shareholders received $28.50 per share, just above the $28.48 price at which the stock closed Monday.
